The President’s Speech
Good afternoon beloved old students of our dear Oghareki grammar school, I stand here today in deep appreciation for the rare opportunity given to me to lead this prestigious association. I also acknowledge the founders of this association and also thank them for this wise initiative. Our dear alma mata has over the years produced notable men and women in the society including the past governor of Delta state , Chief James Onanefe Ibori and it had become expedient to have a gathering of all old students of our prestigious school so there could not have been a better time for the founding of this association. As our school has given to us, and it has helped formed who we are today , as the saying goes that to whom much is given, much is also expected, it is time for us to give back to our dear alma mata. By the grace of God I hope together we will be able to achieve this.
Another aim for this association is for us to be able to reach out to and assist one another, to share in our good and bad time and to assist each other through life’s journey. Fate brought us together at a time when our minds were innocent and being formed and some of us built long lasting friendships that have spanned through the years, we hope to be able to still keep those friendships alive and reach out to be there for each other. With your joint collaboration, we have to be able to take our association to an enviable height and make unforgettable impacts in our lives and that of our dear old school. Once again I thank you for this leadership opportunity and by His grace together we will achieve remarkable results.
